What this is

kerfuffle.si is a public leaderboard for documented AI failures. You submit a story. You may pay for a ranked placement on the day's board. The highest confirmed placement when the day closes at 00:00 UTC becomes the Kerfuffle of the Day.

Payments and ranking

• ▲A payment buys a ranked placement on the daily board, nothing else. The Kerfuffle of the Day is a status derived from the placement.
• ▲Rank is determined by confirmed amount, then by payment confirmation time. The server decides ranks, never the browser.
• ▲If someone else's payment confirms first, they rank above you. Checkout is a race. This is explained at checkout.
• ▲Topping up charges only the difference to your new total. Minimum placement is 3 EUR; taking first place costs at least 1 EUR more than the current leader.
• ▲During the test phase, payments may be simulated and no real money is charged. When real payments are live, they are processed by our payment provider and are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund.

Your content

You keep ownership of your submission. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on kerfuffle.si, to adapt it for share images and social cards, and to keep it in the public archive. You confirm the story is yours to share and that it does not violate the rules below.

Rules

See the Rules page. Payment never outranks moderation: we may remove or hide any content that breaks the rules. Ranked placements removed for rule violations do not guarantee a refund, except where the law requires one.

Not allowed

Doxxing, private personal information, harassment, sexual content involving minors, threats, hate content, illegal content, malware, phishing, impersonation, knowingly defamatory accusations, copyrighted material you have no right to share, and secrets or API keys in screenshots. Reported and removed.

Liability

We run this site as a joke with a leaderboard. We do not promise uptime, accuracy of user-reported damage figures, or that anything here is a good investment. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the current version always lives here. German law applies.
